Something for the weekend ...50 GoldenYears...The Seekers

2013 marks the 50th anniversary of Australia’s legendary The Seekers.
The original line-up of The Seekers featuring Judith Durham, Bruce Woodley, Athol Guy and Keith Potger is still together and will mark their 50th anniversary with ‘The Golden Jubilee Tour’ commencing in May.
The Seekers 50 years with the original line-up is somewhat of a world record. We cannot find another example of a group featuring all of its original members that is still recording and touring.
The Seekers songs have become Australian classics. “I’ll Never Find Another You”, “A World Of Our Own”, “The Carnival Is Over”, “Morningtown Ride”, “Georgy Girl” are some of the best known Australian songs ever recorded.
Judith, Bruce, Athol and Keith took time to tell their story to Paul Cashmere at Noise11.com.

We are most fortunate, all of us, The Seekers included, to be experiencing this remarkable event in history. All of us together, some from the beginning, some with great gaps of separation, then renewal, some retrospective fans, but all now realizing the value of our memories and this wonderful opportunity to enjoy them together. And there are some, so young, so new, they cannot grasp the longevity, yet are able to joyously trust that it is there, honored by The Seekers, the media who remember, and by us, all the fans worldwide who recognized excellence then, and are privileged to again embrace it now. What an adventure... What a blessing... We are "players" all... awesome, amazing, such a culmination, such a triumph, and...such great fun!

Here's another interview from last year which featured on 4BC This one
features Athol and Judith. I've no idea how to get rid of the ads and news
which feature during the interview, but it doesn't really spoil it too much.
