I have for some time been intending to write at least one article about hobbies that can make money. After all if you find yourself older and or disabled in any way and unable to do the job you did, or out of a job for other reasons, often you do not have neither the time or money to retrain but need to make money quickly, as soon as possible. Surely one of the best ways to do this is with skills that you already have. photography often features high up on lists of hobbies that can become an income. Of course you have to be good , not necessarily another David Bailey, but good enough to succeed in a competitive market where lots of people are out there taking and selling photographs and good quality equipment which doesn't have to cost the earth does help.
Maybe people are telling you that your photographs are good and that you have a good eye for a picture , well if so they can be in demand and you can sell your pictures online to be used as stock photographs by ...actually people just like me who need pictures for blogs and content !! You are not going to make a fortune but with a decent camera and a talent for capturing a good image you can make some money. Google Sell your photography and you will find links to lots of resources and sites where you can register and post your pictures.
Also of course, with people now so keen to and needing to save money, if you are indeed good, you might find that friends and family will ask you to take photographs for special occasions such as weddings .
Another opportunity to sell good quality images is as wall art which has become increasingly popular, especially images of places, New York, London, Paris etc and nature scenes.
