Do you happen to be free on Saturday 11^th April, and are you anywhere in or near Charlotte NC, USA? …If so please if you can, support Breathe Deep Charlotte....

This event is being held at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Charlotte's first and oldest brewery, to raise money for LUNGevity, the largest USA national lung cancer-focused non-profit. LUNGevity aims to change the outcomes for people with lung cancer through research and support. LUNGevity is committed to increasing quality of life and the survival of people with Lung Cancer through research into early diagnosis and intervention and more effective treatments. They also provide a community and support for those affected, focused on survival, geared to results, compassionate and respectful.

 Their vision is a world where no one dies of Lung Cancer ….Lung Cancer kills more women than breast cancer and more people than prostate, breast, colorectal and pancreatic cancers combined yet receives only a fraction of the funding. This is thought by many to reflect the fact that Lung Cancer is seen as an embarrassment. When diagnosed with other forms of cancer there will be a response of sympathy, but with Lung Cancer, the question so often asked is did you smoke? It is seen as something self-inflicted …Lung Cancer is not a blame game and all those fighting it with such courage as they show through grueling treatment, deserve our compassion and support.  

LUNGevity sets out to provide this, and you can get involved to help support a loved one with Lung Cancer or indeed the courageous community of Lung Cancer patients and their families.

If you possibly can, please join LUNGevity on Saturday, April 11, 2015, 2:00 - 6:00 pm at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Charlotte's finest and oldest brewery, for a fun-filled afternoon. There will be live music, a raffle, a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres and beer.

Ticket prices are:

Adults (21 and over, includes 2 drinks)	Available	$25.00
Lung Cancer Survivor (includes 2 drinks)	Available	$0.00
13-20 years old	Available	$20.00
12 and under	Available	$0.00

$25 ticket gets you in the door, along with hors d’oeuvres and your first two drinks.

Breathe Deep Charlotte is being organised by local residents, a group of volunteers for whom Lung Cancer has deeply touched them through the lives of loved ones with Lung cancer. Four passionate, committed women are coming together with the Charlotte community and the LUNGevity Foundation to make a difference...A world where no one dies of Lung Cancer …100% of the proceeds benefit LUNGevity.
